Chiarizia relies on ABUS: Crane technology for demanding large-scale projects

When it comes to the safe and precise handling of large components, reliable crane installations are indispensable. For many years, the Lorraine-based company Chiarizia has relied on lifting technology from ABUS. It is a partnership based on trust, quality, and technical expertise.

Chiarizia specializes in corrosion protection and industrial coatings and is regularly involved in extraordinary large-scale projects. Among its most famous references are the coating and corrosion protection treatment of the Olympic rings on the Eiffel Tower and the Paralympic emblems (Agitos) on the Arc de Triomphe in Paris.

The monumental structures were delivered to Chiarizia's workshops in eleven segments, each measuring 8 x 3 meters and weighing between 1.4 and 3.5 tons per element. Once assembled, the entire installation measured an impressive 29 meters wide and 13 meters high.

Projects of this magnitude place the highest demands on logistics, precision, and, in particular, the safe movement of heavy and bulky components. This is precisely where powerful crane installations play a central role.

Long-standing collaboration with ABUS Levage France

For more than 10 years, Chiarizia has relied on ABUS solutions to support its industrial processes:

•   2010: Installation of an ELK overhead crane system – 10 t
•   2013: Installation of an ELV overhead crane system – 10 t
•   2024: Commissioning of two ELV bridge cranes – 5 t each

The crane installations are firmly integrated into the workshops' workflows. They enable safe, efficient, and precise handling of heavy metal structures, both in the preparation phase and during processing.

Technology at the service of performance

ABUS crane installations support Chiarizia in its daily operations, particularly in complex projects involving large-scale components, ensuring:

•   high reliability and maximum safety when lifting,
•   precise positioning of heavy loads,
•   optimized internal workflows and efficient processes.

Chiarizia and ABUS share a common vision: long-term reliability and industrial performance as the basis for the successful implementation of increasingly demanding projects.
